LitDistCo was founded by the Literary Press Group of Canada to offer Canadian publishers a distributor with their best interests at heart.
We offer access to the North American book trade with the minimum cost barriers. We have secured excellent terms with major customers and freight carriers.
Uniquely among Canadian distributors, we operate as a collective governed by Canadian publishers.
Our mission is to foster a thriving, independent publishing sector.
What We Do
LitDistCo handles everything in the supply chain that connects your printers to booksellers. That includes:

Applying
We assess new applicants year-round.
During the application process, you will be asked to provide:
- Details about your company
- Financial documents
- Backlist and forthcoming book details
- Sample materials
- Two letters of reference from business associates (printers or freelancers, for example).
All application materials are kept in strict confidence.
